Prof. Maggie Wan graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She then received her M.A. from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. In 2006, she obtained her D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, specialising in Chinese art history. Prof. Wan taught in the City University of Hong Kong before joining the Department of Fine Arts, CUHK, in 2007. She teaches courses including the History of Chinese Ceramics, Religious Art of China, and Appreciation of Chinese and Western Art. Her research focuses mainly on the history of Song to Qing ceramics and Daoist art and relics.
