December 20, 2007 

Travel information

Directions on how to get to the Regal Riverside hotel from the airport, and how to get to the conference venue, as well as a campus map of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, can be found on the transportation page.

If you are staying at the Regal Riverside Hotel, a bus will pick you up at the hotel at 7:55am, on each day of the conference, to bring you to the conference venue.

Information for presenters

If you are giving a presentation, please prepare around 120 copies of your handout for the GLOW in Asia VI conference. 

For Fcat presenters, please prepare around 80 copies for the workshop.

    November 21, 2007 

     The programmes for GLOW in Asia VI, the Workshop on Acquisition of Functional Categories in Asian Languages and the Fourth International Workshop on Theoretical East Asian Linguistics (TEAL-4) are now available.

     

    In view of the delay in posting of the conference programme, we have EXTENDED the deadline for early registration to Wednesday, November 28, 2007.

    Change of date of the conference banquet

    Please note that the date of the GLOW in Asia VI conference banquet has been changed to December 29, 2007, a day later than previously announced. If you have paid for the conference banquet, but cannot make it on December 29, please let us know as soon as possible. Your banquet payment will be refunded at the conference.

    Registration is now open for participants of Workshop on Acquisition of Functional Categories in Asian Languages. Please register by downloading the registration form for the workshop, and email the completed form with payment details to langacq@cuhk.edu.hk.     Travel grants for students
     
    Please note that a small number of travel grants will be awarded to subsidize the travel cost of student participants whose abstracts have been accepted for presentation at GLOW in Asia VI. Applicants must be sole authors or first authors of co-authored papers presented at GLOW in Asia VI. Applications for travel grants must be submitted to the conference organizers at glowasia@cuhk.edu.hk within one week after notification of acceptance in late October. Applicants are required to submit proof of student status, a travel budget plan, as well as a reference letter from their research supervisor. Applicants will be informed of the decision on the grant application by mid November.
