The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is proud to announce that Ms Vivian Ip, Lecturer in the Department of Music and Associate Conductor of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta, has been awarded third prize at the 2025 International Ferenc Fricsay Conducting Competition in Hungary. The first conductor from Hong Kong to be honoured with a prize at the prestigious competition, Ms Ip stood out from over 460 talented conductors from around the world, showcasing her exceptional artistry, leadership and technical prowess. Prof. Kai-Young Chan’s latest monograph Cantonese choral album, “Constraints/Creativity”,  is now out on Navona Records. Streaming on all major platforms, the album is the first of its kind to be published by an international classical label.    The album was recorded by Die Konzertisten under the direction of Felix Yeung (BA 09’), and produced by Prof. Chan and Kessay Chan (BA 20’).    Read more about the album here: https://www.navonarecords.com/catalog/nv6687/
