Professor Wong’s research explores the cultural economies of artists and practitioners working at the intersections of art and technology within a global context. Bridging theory and practice, her research engages media art history, media and cultural studies, and philosophy of technology, while drawing knowledge through her own practice as co-founder of the studio, MetaObjects. Professor Wong has published in journals and book chapters in Leonardo(2026); Artnodes (2025); DATAbrowser(2025); Visual Culture Studies (2022). She is the author of the monograph, Ecologies of Artistic Practice: Rethinking Cultural Economies through Art and Technology (The MIT Press, 2025).
