CUHK has risen four places from 13th globally last year and has secured the top position in Asia for the second consecutive year. This outstanding result affirms the Faculty’s continued excellence in academic research, scholarly impact, and international reputation.

A Rigorous Global Benchmark

The U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings evaluate more than 2,250 higher education institutions across over 100 countries based on their academic research performance and reputation. The subject rankings are assessed through a comprehensive set of indicators, including global and regional research reputation, research output and scholarly publications, citation impact, and international research collaboration.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and outstanding contributions of the Faculty’s academic staff, students, alumni, and partners. Looking ahead, the Faculty of Arts will continue to advance knowledge, foster interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teaching and research, and promote high-quality humanities education locally, regionally, and globally.
