Edwin Lai Tat-long, a 2026 graduate from the Department of Philosophy has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and strong career readiness. His journey has been recognised with multiple honours, including the NABA 1975 Scholarship, the HKSAR Government Scholarship for Outstanding Performance, and repeated placements on the Faculty of Arts Dean’s List and the New Asia College Head’s List.
During his placement as a Consulting Intern (Technology & Transformation) at Deloitte Advisory (Hong Kong) Limited (Cohort 3 at the @cuhkcoop), Edwin contributed to large-scale digital transformation projects, supported CRM integration (Salesforce), and took part in pitching and promoting emerging solutions such as Generative AI. This valuable industry experience helped him secure a return offer.
Edwin’s studies in Philosophy at CUHK, particularly in logic, analytical thinking, and clear communication, proved highly transferable to consulting and technology work. The supportive learning environment shaped by engaged peers and dedicated academic staff, fostered active learning and intellectual curiosity, all of which have been essential to his transition from the humanities to the consulting and technology sector.
The Faculty is delighted to see our students exploring exciting opportunities like Edwin. We wish him every success and a bright future ahead!
