Imagine spending 10 years of your life not allowed to work, study, or even volunteer.

Our Lives Matter is formed by a group of asylum-seekers who have spent more than 10 years in Hong Kong. They came in search of safety and freedom, but ended up spending the most vital years of their lives in destitution, insecurity, and uncertainty about the future.

They have met with local politicians, and sent petitions to the Chief Executive, as well as foreign governments.

On June 20, 2020, World Refugees’ Day, they will join us for a conversation about their lives and their demands as asylum-seekers in Hong Kong.
