“The Art of CUHK 2026” Phase II Opening Ceremony

“The Art of CUHK 2026” is presented by the Department of Fine Arts and co-organized by The Office of the Arts Administrator. The Phase II exhibition is curated by the Master of Arts programme in Fine Arts (M.A.F.A.) students from the Department of Fine Arts, showcasing works from the Contemporary Art Practice stream and Chinese Art Practice stream. Coming from diverse academic and occupational backgrounds, the participating M.A.F.A. students employ a wide range of media, themes, and practices. Organized into four sections across the two areas of specialization, the exhibition highlights the richness and diversity of the students’ artistic explorations, offering distinctive perspectives and creative achievements.
The Graduation Exhibition will be held from 5 to 26 July 2026, with the Opening Ceremony taking place on 4 July at the foyer of Sir Run Run Shaw Hall. “Ending After Ending” by the Contemporary Art Practice stream and “Leaving a Light Aglow” by the Chinese Art Practice stream, will be on view at Cheng Ming Building and the Hui Gallery from 5 to 26 July 2026. In addition, the M.A.F.A. Year One Exhibition will be held from 2 to 8 August 2026. “FASA” presented by the Contemporary Art Practice stream, and “With Whom Do I Sit?” presented by the Chinese Art Practice stream, will also take place at Cheng Ming Building, continuing an ongoing dialogue between diverse creative practices and artistic perspectives.
