Congratulations to four CUHK Arts students for their outstanding performances in the CUHK Capstone Project Presentation Competition (CPPC) 2025, organised by the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) in the Faculty.
Final year students from the Department of English, Holly LEUNG Ho Yee and Ariel WEN Airan, both won the competition with their excellent presentation skills, with Ariel also receiving the Creativity Award. Jolie Sherrie LUM (Music / Year 4) and Yian ZHU (Chinese Studies / Year 4) received Honourable Mentions.
This year’s CPPC was highly competitive, with over fifty nominations from nineteen departments across seven Faculties and various disciplines. After the first round of screening, about 65% of the entries advanced to the qualifying round for further review, from which 10 outstanding contestants were selected to compete in the Grand Final for the championship.
Participants presented their capstone projects in a format limited to a maximum of four minutes and four visual slides. In this concise format, students had to showcase their expertise in their research fields, as well as their strong problem-solving and communication skills.
The Faculty would like to thank ELTU for its dedication in making this year’s competition a tremendous success. We also thank other Faculties for their unwavering support. Congratulations again to all finalists and winning students!
