張寄冀教授

張寄冀教授於2023年加入香港中文大學，現任哲學系教授。曾在加州理工學院，香港嶺南大學及香港浸會大學執教。

張教授本科就讀北京大學哲學系邏輯學專業，其後在卡耐基梅隆大學取得博士學位，興趣轉至科學哲學同形式化知識論。張教授慣用精確的邏輯或數學方法處理哲學問題，其研究與計算機科學及統計學頗有關聯。他最感興趣的研究方向是因果推理，中心問題涉及從觀察中得出因果關係的可能性，以及如何利用因果信息進行假設性推理同指導決策。這些問題不僅需要知識論及邏輯學意義上的探究，也關乎一些重要的形而上學議題，同時與人工智能中的知識表徵及機器學習有聯繫。基於此類跨學科研究，張教授在哲學領域及人工智能領域的權威刊物和會議中皆有成果發表。
