
Organised by the Faculty of Arts, and co-organised by the Morningside College, Department of English and English Language Teaching Unit, we are delighted to announce the CUHK Poetry Contest 2025, a highlight of the upcoming CUHK Artist-in-Residence Programme! All CUHK undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled for the 2025–26 academic year are invited to join this exciting event.
This year, we are honoured to have invited Professor Forrest Gander, Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, author and translator, as CUHK’s 2025 Artist-in-Residence and the guest judge for the Poetry Contest.
Contest Details
- Eligibility: All CUHK students (undergraduate or postgraduate, any discipline, enrolled for the 2025–26 academic year )
- Poetry Format: Any genre or form in English

- 1st Prize: HK$5,000
- 2nd Prize: HK$3,000
- 3rd Prize: HK$2,000
- Submission Deadline: 3 October 2025, 12:00noon (Hong Kong time)
