The Faculty of Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong hosted a Welcoming Tea Reception on Monday, 1 September 2025. Professor Max Tang, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, joined by more than 50 colleagues from departments and teaching units, welcomed the 2025/26 cohort of undergraduate students to the Faculty.
In his remarks, Dean Tang encouraged students to take part in the wide range of opportunities offered by the University, the Faculty, and departments, including exchange programmes, internships, and cultural activities, and to make the most of their university life at CUHK. This was followed by a presentation from Professor Peggy Mok, Associate Dean (Student Affairs), who introduced student services provided by the University and the Faculty, such as scholarships and career support. She encouraged students to stay informed and make good use of these resources.
The event concluded with a sharing by Regan Tam, a Year 3 Linguistics student, who reflected on her CUHK experience and encouraged new students to embark their unique university journeys.
The Faculty of Arts will continue to support students in their studies and development at CUHK, fostering their all-round growth.
