彭鹏

学士及硕士(北京大学),硕士及博士(普林斯顿大学)

 

彭教授于北京大学取得了学士和硕士学位,随后前往美国普林斯顿大学获得了硕士与博士学位。在加入香港中文大学之前,彭教授曾任教于美国佩斯大学(2017)和明尼苏达大学(2018-2019)。彭教授的研究主要集中于古代东亚艺术、考古以及视觉/物质文化。他的第一部专书Metalworking in Bronze Age China: The Lost-Wax Process(Cambria Press, 2020)在学术界获得广泛好评。目前,他的第二本专书Origins: Copper and Bronze Metallurgy in Early China(原题Bronze Casting in Early China, Amsterdam University Press)已成功通过匿名评审,即将出版。彭教授还致力于策划展览,近期带领团队主办华夏早期带钩展,并主编其双语研究图录《霜雪明金玄钩沉: 德能堂藏华夏早期带钩》(英文标题:Cast for Dignity: Early Chinese Belt Hooks from the De-Neng-Tang Collection;香港中文大学文物馆,2023年),均获热烈反响。
