WONG Siu

Part-time Lecturer

Wong Siu, a native of Panyu in Guangdong Province. His self-given pseudonym is Nanxun Duruo and his study chamber is called as Duruo Shutang. Born in Hong Kong, he received secondary education at Wah Yan College Hong Kong. After graduation, he studied in the Chinese department of Jingwei College, following Chen Zhan-quan, Liang Jian-neng and Feng Kang-hou in learning Guoxue. He served at the Chinese departments of tertiary institutes such as the St. Gabriel’s School, Lingnan Secondary School, Hwa Kiu College of Engineering and Commerce, Qing Hua College, Hong Kong Government Evening Institute and Shue Yan College, etc, responsible for teaching the subjects such as poetics, Cixue, Shijing, Zhuzi, literary criticism, literary history, Zizhi Tongjia. He is currently teaching at the Fine Arts department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and being as the chair lecturer of the Xuehai Shulou in Guoxue. After 1979, he founded the Nanxun Calligraphy Association, Nanxun Yiyu and Nanxun Yiwen. Huang had published Zhongguo Gudian Wenyi Luncong , commentary on ninety one Qijue Shi of Jiang Baishi, analysis and commentary on Yuefu Buti, Dongqing Ji, Huang Zhaoxian Shu Fa Ji, Nanxun Suibi, Jiuxiang Canmo and note on Xiaojing, etc.
