‘Urban Traces’

The Series of ‘Urban Traces’ aims to discuss the rapid changes and developments of the city while expressing the subsequent wistfulness triggered the loss of memories. Through the exhibition, Margaret would like to explore the serendipitous experiences and encounters within the city and collect anecdotal stories structured by the elements of people/ history/ place and time. By employing ‘5/F, 99 Bulkeley Street’ – a now-demolished residential apartment where the artist once lived, as a personal context, Margaret embarks her research on old tenement buildings in the district of Hung Hom, In general, the exhibition will surround oral histories including urban legends, myths and memories, depicting the past of ‘5/F, 99 Bulkeley Street’ in a humanistic way.
