This lecture will introduce the current progress and translation strategy of the "Fo Guang Shan Intelligent Translation Portal" (FGS Translation Portal) developed for the English translation project of "Fo Guang Dictionary" and introduce the expected multiple functions and users in the future.

Venerable Miao Guang is currently the General Convener of the English translation of "Fo Guang Dictionary" and the Vice President of Fo Guang Shan Institute of Humanistic Buddhism Re-search. Venerable Miaoguang is the English translator of Master Hsing Yun's propagation in the world. He has traveled all over the world. He was the translator when the Master met with Pope Benedict XVI, Malaysia's two-term Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, Najib and other world religious and national leaders. At the same time, he is focusing on the translation of Buddhist scriptures, The Complete Works of Ven. Master Hsing Yun, and special books on humanistic Buddhism studies, etc., aiming to apply tools such as computer-aided translation system (CAT), deep learning algorithm (Deep Learning) and online collaborative translation platform (Online Collaboration), to enhance the quality and efficiency of Buddhist scripture translation.
