The Faculty congratulates Mr. Xu Zebo (PhD Year 4, Linguistics) on receiving the Postgraduate Research Output Award 2024!
Handwritten language is a cornerstone of human civilization and holds timeless significance in the refinement of thought. Mr. Xu’s research integrates psycholinguistic theory, computational methods, and neurocognitive approaches to investigate Chinese handwriting and character amnesia, spanning from neurocognitive mechanisms to computational assessments.
His research has been published in several prestigious journals, including Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition; Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience; Reading and Writing; and Behavior Research Methods.
His research contributes to the preservation of literacy in the digital era and lays the foundation for clinical interventions targeting handwriting difficulties.
