To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Fine Arts Department, and with the support of the YS Hui Foundation, we are pleased to showcase the gamut of art possibilities advocated in the department’s mission. The invitational exhibition curated by Prof. Frank VIGNERON, the Chair and Professor of the Department of Fine Arts, is dedicated to the achievements in the art field of the four full-time studio art professors. The work of Prof. Vincent TONG Kam Tang, Prof. ZHOU Jin, Prof. Lukas TAM Wai Ping and Prof. HO Siu Kee can be said to represent the whole range of artistic possibilities in a place like Hong Kong: the ‘traditional’ form of Chinese calligraphy, a more ‘hybrid’ form of Chinese painting, the ‘contemporary’ forms of integrated sculpture and body art as well as experiments described by the artist as a look into the relationship between ‘text’, ‘object’ and ‘image’.

Opening Ceremony:

Date: 18 September 2017 (Monday), 6:00pm
Venue: Hui Gallery, New Asia College, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
