The Archaeology Lab of the Anthropology Department was renovated and refurbished with new research equipment in 2024. We invited Prof. Christina Cheung to shoot a short video, answering everyone’s questions about archaeology.

Mphil graduate Ao Chon Hei conducted research on the Chinese ethnic minority collections of the Anthropology Department, and published an article titled “Collections overlooked: The Chinese ethnic minority collections in an Asian Cold War context at the Department of Anthropology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong” in Museum Anthropology.
In 2021, we published the Commemorative Book for the CUHK Anthropology Department’s 40th Anniversary. Content of the book includes department history, teacher & student sharing, alumni update and social impact. Please check it out if you have not read it!
