My areas of interest are economic anthropology, space and urbanity, transnational migration, globalization and nationalism, ethnicity and identity, gender and family.
I did my PhD project on Chinese-owned coffee bars in Italy. By studying everyday socio-cultural interactions between ethnic groups in urban public spaces, I am investigating the family entrepreneurship and ethnicity of Chinese immigrants in Italy.
Anthropological training provides me new perspectives to understand different peoples and diversified cultural realities. It offers me a chance to discover a new world that I have never experienced before.
