ANT Recruitment: Part-time Junior Research Assistant for Prof. Khalikova Venera’s Project

Job Description – Part-time Junior Research Assistant (250001C3)

Applicants are invited to apply for a part-time Junior Research Assistant position to support Prof. Khalikova Venera in a UGC-funded project, “Precarious privilege in highly-skilled transnational migration: An ethnography of South Asian Women Expatriates in Hong Kong.”

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Gender Studies, Migration Studies, or related disciplines; (ii) good organisational skills; (iii) a good command of written and spoken English (fluency in Cantonese is welcomed but not required); and (iv) strong initiative. Knowledge of South Asia and South Asian communities in Hong Kong would be an advantage.

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) coordinating activities and communication between the research team and partner organisations, liaising with various stakeholders; (b) providing organisational and logistical support of workshops and other project-related events; (c) managing the project website and social media; and (d) performing other research and administrative duties as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made for six months commencing September 2025, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
